Outside Sales Associate
Merchants Market is part of the larger Merchants Group organization, the largest distributor of food and broadline products to the Leeward Islands.
We have an immediate opening for a seasoned field sales rep.
With the primary objective of growing and maintaining customer accounts and relationships, the individual manages sales leads, creates a sales plan, and monitors accounts receivable to ensure accounts are in good standing.

Responsibilities include:

• Create and implement sales plans to meet all sales objectives
• Generate and validate sales leads
• Contact customers to obtain weekly orders and enters orders into ERP
• Identifies product shortages and offers alternatives to customers
• Field customer calls and resolves issues related to weekly shipments received on the island
• Reviews new product offers and identifies customers to target

POSITION REQUIREMENTS (minimum experience, knowledge, background)
3 years of previous B2B sales experience

• Demonstrated success in building customer relationships and closing sales
• Food sales experience a plus
• Microsoft Office skills
• ERP experience
• Personable and enjoys interacting with clients
• Bilingual, preferred
